Walter Overman has served as pastor of Wood Baptist Church since September 2015. Originally from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Walter and his family moved to Franklin County in 2010. Walter is married to his wife Aleena and has four children: Hayley, Hadassah, Calvin and Malcolm.
Walter earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Religion from Liberty University (Summa Cum Laude) and is currently pursuing his Master's of Divinity in Christian Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Dec. 2015).
He has a passion for preaching God's Word and shepherding and exhorting God’s people to pursue Christ with passion and conviction.
